  • Bitcoin (BTC)
  • Ethereum (ETH)
  • Dash (DASH)
  • Steem (STEEM)

What makes BitShares so unique, is that it allows instant trading and exchanges between different altcoins, as well as its own bit assets. Bitassets are backed by fiat currencies, so you can effortlessly trade by holding bitGBP for example (each one equal to £1), and trading into any altcoin you wish, then pulling back out into btGBP when the price rises. You cannot buy and sell directly with cash however, you must deposit or withdraw an altcoin of your choice, which you can then sell for cash. The most popular option is to use Local Bitcoins to buy Bitcoin, then deposit this to BitShares in order to buy altcoins. Then withdraw the Bitcoins back into Local Bitcoins after you have finished trading and sell them on there.
