Remember, when Bitguru reported on fake Vitalik, Trump, Elon, and other celebrities or famous people asking you for your Bitcoin or your Ether in exchange for more Bitcoin or Ether to the wallet address that you sent your Ether or Bitcoins from?
Well, Vitalik went ahead and changed his profile picture as one form of combating these scams and has repeatedly stated that he will not be asking you for your cryptocurrency.
The latest individual to clarify his stance in regards to cryptocurrency, thus shunning participation in these Ether and Bitcoin scam is Elon Musk.
Although he didn’t directly address the use of his name to perpetrate these scams, he did clarify on his current personal holdings of cryptocurrencies.

The Billionaire founder of SpaceX and Tesla has noted on the popular social media platform that he has never engaged in the buying or selling of cryptocurrencies and that the only cryptocurrency that he has is Bitcoin.
You might be thinking, wait how can he have some satoshis if he never purchased any? Well, according to Elon on Twitter, a friend sent him some satoshis as a gift.

The billionaire CEO of SpaceX and Tesla told Twitter followers that he, in fact, has never purchased cryptocurrency, and only holds a small amount of Bitcoin gifted by a friend.
Elon stated in response to the continuous spam using his likeness to gain cryptocurrencies that he has notified Jack of the issue and that he only holds the .25 BTC that was sent to him many years ago.
Not sure. I let @jack know, but it’s still going. I literally own zero cryptocurrency, apart from .25 BTC that a friend sent me many years ago.
Combating Scams, Elon’s Thoughts on Bitcoin and more
The clarification by Elon may seem uncalled for, but it is certainly necessary in the current times of rampant scams and twitter impersonators looking to gain some precious crypto. It is certainly an interesting time to live in when the founder of SpaceX, Paypal and other companies has to clarify that he only has so much cryptocurrency and imply that he is not involved in fishing for cryptocurrencies.
Elon has stated that he is for innovation in the payments space and has stated that he is not against Bitcoin. He may have influenced those in the government who make decisions on cryptocurrencies when he served as an adviser to the current president when he stated that Bitcoin could be considered as a good thing.
Bitcoin enthusiasts did think for an instant that Elon was the mysterious founder of the pioneer cryptocurrency Bitcoin, but he put that to rest when he took to Twitter and stated his lack of affiliation in any manner to the project.
